Practical AI Skills for the PMO
Practical AI Skills for the PMO
This course equips PMO professionals with the practical skills to apply AI safely, effectively, and credibly across the PMO lifecycle. It focuses on augmentation rather than automation, showing where AI accelerates PMO work (reporting, assurance, insights, planning) and where human judgement remains essential.
Learning Approach:
Classroom & Virtual Classroom
Duration:
2 days
Virtual Course Timings:
9am to 4pm UK time each day
Price:
Pilot Price – £950 + VAT
Virtual Classroom – £1175 + VAT
House of PMO members receive an exclusive discount. Log into your account to receive £250 off.
Technical Requirements:
This 2-day intensive training program uses advanced Generative AI tools. To participate fully in practical labs and real-time simulations, learners will need access to at least one of the following:
- Microsoft Copilot
- ChatGPT
- Google Gemini
We recommend using a paid plan of a GenAI model (e.g. ChatGPT) for the best experience during the course case study. A free plan can still be used effectively, and you will be able to participate fully in the course, however some activities may require simple workarounds to manage limitations on prompts or image generation. The course facilitator will explain these during the session, either by using another tool if you have access to one, or by using additional functions within the tool you are using.
Please make sure you have downloaded and understood the full technical requirements before booking this course. You can download the course outline and technical requirements here.
The Practical AI Skills for the PMO course is suitable for PMO Administrators, Analysts, Managers, Heads of PMO and anyone supporting project, programme or portfolio delivery. These roles handle reporting, assurance, governance, documentation, meetings, planning support, insights and stakeholder communication, all areas where AI can make a big difference.
Virtual classroom training takes place with a live instructor throughout the online course and you will be learning alongside other virtual learners – you’ll be able to see and hear them too!
All you need for virtual classroom training is a decent broadband connection, a webcam, microphone and access to Zoom.
As this course is based on AI, learners will need access to at least one of the following:
